We were approached by this client based in Woodfield Road in Essex. They were low energy users and required a small PV array and battery storage. We checked their roof and noticed the panels would be shaded by the chimney on the roof and soil pipe breather pipe. We installed micro inverters and an AC Coupled battery system to overcome these issues.

Enphase IQ8 Micro Inverter

Our customer was interested in the idea of having micro inverters integrated into their installation, we recommended the high-performance Enphase IQ8 Series Micro Inverter. These innovative devices play a crucial role in converting solar panel DC electricity to AC at the panel level, fine-tuning the output of each of the 8 Jinko panels independently.

Utility savings based on switch from Electricity to Agile Octopus

The projected energy cost is calculated by considering a 7% increase in energy cost each year, due to trends in the raising cost of energy. This estimate is based on selected preferences, current energy costs and the position and orientation of the roof to calculate the efficiency of the system. Projections are based on estimated usage of 2433 kWh per year, assuming Electricity Electricity Tariff.

The MCS output (MIS 3002) and self-consumption (MGD 003) calculation methodology was not used in calculating the numbers in the table below. An alternative calculator System Advisor Model 2020.02.29.r2 was used.
